Article Submission Guidelines for Authors (2021)
kscrmc13@gmail.com
The Journal of Educational Research (JER): Saurabh has been publishing teaching and experience-based write-ups, lesson-based analysis and teaching techniques, sharing best practices, and research-based articles. It is a platform where the faculties and the students of KSMC and other professionals could publish descriptive, analytical and empirical articles on the various issues of teaching, learning, and professional development. We encourage authors to read the publication guidelines and submit their manuscripts in appropriate forms.
We advise the authors to follow the following guidelines in preparing their articles in order to maintain the quality and uniformity in the publication:
- Submitted in a Ms-Word file with a short Bio (with a photo) of the author (75-100 words). The article should have appropriate title (Maximum 12 words with a clear Topic and a focus).
- The abstract should be approximately 150- 200 words.
- The keywords should include the key terms from the theory and the author’s intent. They should be listed in alphabetical order.
- The use of the first person is acceptable, especially when discussing the writer’s own narratives based on their experience and teaching contexts.
- All articles with page numbers on the top right will be written in Times New Roman font (12), and Pretti (16); pages should be 1.5 line spaced with 0 before and 0 after Column Spacing, and have margins of about 1 inch. If the author has used Screen grabs, colored charts, photos, tables, artwork, or graphics, these should be based on APA style.
- JER: Saurabh suggests writers include information in parentheses as appropriate not as footnotes. The Journal uses the author-date format for citations and references. The article should comply with APA (6th edition) Style, in particular the citations of other authors and references.
- Only sources cited in the article should be listed in the reference section: A detailed list of all the references cited in the text as parenthesis is given at the end of the article.
- The previously published articles won’t be accepted.
- The size of the article should be between 3000-5000 words excluding references and appendices.
The JER: Saurabh accepts genuine articles while encouraging authors to refer to authentic sources and explicitly dishonoring plagiarism as intellectual theft. All submissions, when they meet the above criteria will go through the process of publishing or the authors will be advised if they need to rework, based on the comments/suggestions from the editors/reviewers. The editorial team will take the final decision for the selection of the articles. Please understand that the JER: Saurabh is flexible to accept alterations in styles and formats as far as our authors know the basic norms of a scholarly article.
